My Journey into Design
I am a UX/UI designer with international experience across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan, specialising in turning complex problems into clear, usable digital experiences.
I studied Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara and began my career in sales and marketing at an advertising agency in Los Angeles, where I developed strong business, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills. This foundation led me to transition into design and move to San Francisco to pursue graduate studies in web design. During this time, I interned at Stanford University and actively engaged with the Bay Area design community through hackathons and meetups.
I have since worked as a UX/UI designer in the nonprofit sector, contributing across the end-to-end design process — from research and problem framing to information architecture, interaction design, and cross-functional product delivery. My international work and travel across 16 countries continue to inform an inclusive, empathetic approach to design.
My work is grounded in empathy, systems thinking, and practical execution, with a focus on improving everyday experiences, reducing friction, and delivering meaningful impact.
Outside of design, I am interested in cooking, travel, and sustainable living, including plastic-free and zero-waste practices. I am raising two young children while continuing to grow my design practice. Parenting has deepened my skills in observation, facilitation, and designing supportive environments that foster autonomy, creativity, and learning — perspectives that directly inform my human-centred design approach.
Currently based in Tokyo, I am open to UX/UI and product design opportunities and collaborating with global teams.
